My name is Lay Ean Eng. I am an advocate of bridging generational as well as cultural gaps in families while instilling the love of learning in their children through FUN daily interactions.
I was born in Penang, Malaysia and came to Australia to study more than 25 years ago, and ended up settling in Australia. I am married and live in the beautiful city of Sydney with my loving and supportive husband, Patrick, and two adult children, Jonathan and Eileen.
I grew up in a traditional Baba Nonya family (Chinese migrants who intermarried with the locals and settled in Malaysia during the early 1400s), and I was the second child of three.
I can speak Malay, Mandarin, Hokkien and English. I grew up in a very close-knit family surrounded by a community of families. When I was not studying or helping out in the household chores, I was in the playground playing with my neighbours – yes, the playground was my domain… where I spent most of my afternoons.
My passion
My passions is to support you (fellow GoParents) on how to create connections and establish strong relationships with you children (GoKids), while at the same time instilling the love of creating and learning through those EVERYDAY interactions.
My journey
I am very grateful that I made the decision to be very hands-on with my children from day one. Both my children are very close in age, and not long after my 2nd child, Eileen was born, we moved from Melbourne to Sydney.
I had the opportunity to meet and network with my new community and learned so much during the past 20+ years, and I thank my two greatest teachers – my children Jonathan and Eileen.

I am now making my mission to share with parents how to connect with their children while empowering them with the love of learning through daily FUN interactions.
Let’s have fun connecting and empowering with your children by through daily interactions and I look forward to connecting with you through the Facebook Page.
