In Asia, children normally celebrate Mid Autumn Festival. The children will meet up after dinner, and walk around the neighbourhood together with lanterns.
The traditional lantern came in various shapes of animals, and was lit by candles. However, the modern lanterns are battery operated. But colourful!
Recently when I went back to my home town in Penang, I came across this lantern in my home. So I thought it would be a fun activity to work with.
Questions you can ask your child:

- How many colours are there on the lantern? Name the colours and provide the answers in the comment section
- What is the shape of this lantern – post your answer in the comment section.
