Guiding or teaching your children is about connecting with them at their level, so that you can share and impart your knowledge and empower them in a way that they can appreciate and understand.
I am an advocate that all learning starts from home. The best way to start guiding them is to use everyday interactions and everyday things that you use to teach and guide them, i.e. use anything that you can have access to and create something fun that you can share with your children.
So for today, we are going to use an orange right from my orange tree. Somehow this orange has a bit of a yellow colour, so the colour we are going to learn is yellow (for the fruit) and green for the leaf. You can also talk about how colour varies – so some oranges are indeed orange!
Colour – Yellow and green and brown (which is the background).
Print out as many copies as you need and colour in. Download the colouring page: https://s3.amazonaws.com/GoKids-Images/orange_bw.jpg
