How to introduce apples and the colour red to your children

Let's learn about the fruit apple, its shape and colour – red

Following up on the on the previous blog post on the fun ways to get your children to learn about their vegetables. Let's start an A to Z vegetables and fruits colouring and spelling activities…and let's make it fun and educational at the same time.

I have created a simple video (trialing a new app) about naming a fruit that starts with A – APPLE.

Activity:

When you are the grocery shop, if your child is young, ask him or her "where is an apple?" and allow your child to point to the apples.

If you have an older child, allow them to pick up the apple, feel and smell it and to really enjoy the taste of apples when they eat them (after you pay for them).

Talk to them about the benefits of apples, how you can cook apples etc.
