As you know, I am very passionate about empowering your children with the love of learning through fun interactions, while encouraging parents to use that opportunity to connect with them at the same time.
You see, children learn through interactions, exploring and observing, which in another words means – PLAY. And the best equipment for them is using everyday objects as their toys. Do you agree with me? How many times have you invested in an expensive toy and all your child wants is the "thing" that you have in your hand?
By incorporating everyday objects like cardboard, cooking pans and utensils, or playing in the garden… the possibilities are endless. There is so much your children can do and you can create objects and fun with them.
For example, a cardboard box can be made into a boat, or a cooking cupboard. Or while you are cooking, you can have an old set of cooking pots, pans and utensils for your child to "cook' next to you. They love to model and mimic you, because that's how they learn.
Learning should be fun and exciting, and a chance for your child to explore and to create; that's my passion and mission. So from now on, every Friday, I would like to share with you how you can make use of everyday items from the home or garden, or anywhere along the street, and create something fun for your children to learn and have fun with. At the same time this gives you the opportunity to have fun and bond with your children.
So on Mondays and Thursdays, I will write the parenting articles, and Fridays will be Kids Funs Day – where they will have a simple activity that you can "do" together.
Have a wonderful weekend with your family.
