It’s often the small things we do with our children that count – and when we really do connect. Here’s one suggestion – or try similar things when waiting somewhere with your child.
This is one fun you can do with your kids:
- How many birds are there?
- Circle the birds and get them to count aloud (with their fingers if need be)
- Teach them to write the number and spell (6 and Six) on a piece of paper
6 six SIX
Other things to discuss:
Talk about the shadow: which direction do you think the sun is facing?
- What are shadows?
- Why do you think the birds are on the ground? What are they looking for?
