Make your shopping trips with your children not only create opportunities to connectand to have fun together, but shopping is a great learning opportunity for them.
Have a look at the image above. I took this picture of capsicums while doing my grocery shopping this morning. I always enjoyed the vast variety of fresh produce we can get here in Australia, and just look at the freshness?
How can I tell? (A good question to ask your children)
First, the colour looks very vibrant and they flesh of the vegetable feels firm. I bet they are very crunchy and moist, and taste very sweet at the same time.
OK, let’s start with some fun activities – we can only do colouring from this picture, as I missed out on the prices for these capsicums, so can’t create fun maths questions.
Download (click on) the image, print this page, bring out your coloured pencils and have FUN!
Once you have coloured the page, would you take a picture and share it with us via the Facebook page?
What can the children learn?
Colours: Green, Yellow and Red
I have also create a video on how to create colouring for the word CAPSICUM.
Have a wonderful day with your family!
