I’ve always believed that learning starts from home. By interacting with children through daily activities, you can actually connect and have fun with your children while inspiring the love of learning in them.
Children learn through fun. So if you make counting and learning about shapes using the jam tart, not only it is fun, it also makes a lot of sense to them, as it has been applied on something they are familiar with.
Learning is about applying knowledge to everyday activities. You can make this exercise as simple or as complicated as you like, depending on how old your children are.
However, do remember, children’s learning capability varies and is unique to every single child. Please be patient, and mostly, do have fun with them.
Remember, daily interactions + fun = empowerment + connections.
Have fun and I would love to hear how you go with this activity.
