Yesterday, we talked about you can connect with your children while having fun and learning at the same time. Today's blog, the same applies – however using clothes pegs instead of tarts and cookies.
Based on this activity, I have 5 pairs of clothes pegs.
This is what your children will learn:
- Number 2
- Spell number 2
Learning is about applying knowledge into everyday activities. Therefore, using the clothes pegs for example, you can create fun interactive activities for them, and providing them with hours of interactive entertainment.
For a younger child, it is about playing with the pegs, holding and feeling them, and for a preschooler, they would find the colours attractive. You can get them to match/pair the colours, count the number of pegs and learn about the colours.
As for the older children, they can learn how to spell the wordings of each colour, i.e. blue, red, green etc, identify the colours and numbers.
There are so many ways to encourage your children to learn while having fun and creating connections with them at the same time.
Until the next segment – have fun and be creative.
A friendly reminder: children's learning capability varies is unique to every single child. Please be patient, and mostly, do have fun with them.
daily interactions + fun = empowerment + connections
