You can create any FUN worksheets for your child from everyday interactions. As you can see, the above rainbow image was taken one rainy cloudy day.
What can we learn about rainbows?
Today's segment is geared towards preschoolers. This is the stage where they are learning about their fine motor skills, i.e. drawing and colouring, and identifying colours.
So let's start. Check out the audio below and I will go through simple steps to create something fun for your preschoolers.
- Identify a rainbow
- Learn about the colour of rainbows
- Colouring in
It does not matter how they colour, whether the sequencing is correct or whether the colour is correct, just keep duplicating the activity and repeat the fun play.
1. Point to the rainbow – and encourage your child to see it.
2. Colours of rainbow? Red Orange Yellow Green Blue Indigo Violet
Learning through fun is the way to go, so I check out some YouTube segments about the colours and songs that go with rainbows. I checked and thought this is a fun one to sing and dance with your child: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mUWvv3n42og
Do check and go through all the songs, and pick the ones that you like.
3. Colouring in.
Have a fun and connected day with your family.
