While we had fun learning about the colour red and learning about shapes, today we are going to talk about numbers for school aged children. Learning numbers through connecting the dots fun-activity.
Children love hanging out with you and doing things together with you; it is their innate nature to be close to you and connect with you.
Research has shown that a child who is well connected with their parent/parents, develops healthy patterns both physically and mentally.
Parents, though, have so much on their plates, so finding time to connect and making time to connect can be a challenge.
Thus, this exercise is not only fun, it is also simple and does not require a lot of time on your part to connect and have fun with your children.
Print out the worksheet and bring it to the kitchen. Your child can sit on the bench while you finish off your cooking… As long as both of you are working together, chatting together and having fun together.
This is a simple exercise for learning to identify numbers from 1-25. However feel free to create or add more numbers to enhance your children’s learning – or create more challenges in this activity.
Check out the worksheet I’ve created below and I would love your feedback about it. https://s3.amazonaws.com/GoKids-Article/Connect+and+Empower+School+Aged+30May_ws.pdf
Remember, children learn through fun, so let’s make learning about numbers fun.
Have a fun and connected day with your family.
