Bullying is the topic for this week’s eNews. I came across this post http://www.upworthy.com/bully-calls-news-anchor-fat-news-anchor-destroys-him-on-live-tv few days ago via facebook about “Bully Calls News Anchor Fat, News Anchor Destroys Him On Live TV, thought we’d talk about bullying for this week’s eNews. I really like the message she is sending out to young people and thought I’d share it with you.
If your child or anyone you know have experienced bullying, you will agree that there is never an easy answer or solution to resolve the damage bullying has done to the well being of the victim. ,There needs to be but a process of healing and we need to help the victim find the courage within themselves to get up and move on.
My two children were bullied at school, especially my son. We brought them up to be kind, considerate, caring and empathetic; unfortunately the bullies thought those attitudes were “not” the norm and were “unacceptable” in normal circumstances. However, my kids faced the situation directly and told them otherwise, and came out stronger than ever. I am so very proud of them!
I am attaching a few links about bullying that I thought would be really helpful for parents and carers. Please pass them to anyone you know who may need it. And please share your experiences of how you have overcome bullying on our facebook page.
